Diving holiday in Malaysia: Mabul's Sipadan Water Village!

Diving holiday in Malaysia. Mabul, an islet off the Malaysian coast, is famous for its "muck dive" and is located a few kilometers from the famous Sipadan, known as an "unspoiled masterpiece of art" by divers from all over the world. A fairytale setting for your diving stay in Malaysia!

Located on Mabul Island, it has 45 water cottages equipped with every comfort. The fully equipped Dive Center offers PADI courses up to the Dive Master level and has fiberglass boats of 12 m, Scubapro equipment and 12-liter aluminum cylinders and organizes day trips to Mabul, Kapalai and Sipadan.

The cottages are connected to the beach by a jetty, built from local wood. The style recalls a traditional stilt village of the Bajau Laut, the "sea gypsies". The bungalows, located less than one meter from the surface of the sea and placed in such a way as to safeguard the seabed and the coral reef, are divided into 4 types of various sizes. We find the Standard, Deluxe, Grand Deluxe and Junior types. All equipped with balcony, private bathroom with shower with hot and cold water, fan, minibar, tea / coffee set. The Deluxe cottages also have a bathtub, while the Grand Suite cottages even have a jacuzzi. There is a restaurant and bar serving Asian and Western cuisine. In the lobby available wi-fi connection and satellite TV. Possibility of unlimited diving with a buddy from the beach.

Diving:

The dives that can be done in this area are very different from each other. In the Mabul area the sandier seabed allows encounters with small inhabitants of the sea and therefore satisfies lovers of macro photography, while just 20 minutes by boat you reach the Sipadan Marine Park, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, home of some of the most amazing marine species on the planet. This small island, immersed in the Celebes Sea, has a rich and exciting marine life: the island is in fact the emerged part of an underwater volcanic cone and therefore has a vertical seabed that goes down to 800 meters deep, creating caves and cracks where a large amount of flora and fauna find their habitat. Wall diving, drift diving and beautiful canyons allow you not only to enjoy the beauty of its corals and small and colorful inhabitants but also to swim among schools of jack fish, barracudas, tuna and hundreds of turtles, or to meet some hammerhead, whitetip and leopard sharks. However, there is no shortage of moray eels, anemones with manta rays and rays that swim among colorful gorgonians and sponges. But one of the natural spectacles that made Sipadan famous is the silver carousel of thousands of barracudas swimming in circles: entering and swimming in the slow vortex is an incredible emotion!
